On the 1 March markes the death of St David, who declared the national day of celebration in Wales in the 18th century. he is the only native-born patron saint of the countries of Britain and Ireland, and made deep roots of Welsh Christianity by the time of his birth in the early sixth century.There are many traditions in that day, people will ware traditional emblems on the clothe: the leek, which was St David's personal symbol,and the daffodil, a traditional symbol of Wales which is in bloom during that time of year. It is the flag for the patron saint of Wales, Since 2002 the flag has also formed a part of the Cardiff City Football Club logo.
